Grisel – Wedding Planner

My name is Grisel Hernandez, originally from Mexico City. From a young age, I aspired to live near the coast. I am a proud owner of a Bull Terrier named Nicolas! I love spending time with Nicolas, going out with friends, enjoying the beach, traveling, and investing in floral design courses — it’s one of my biggest passions. I’m deeply inspired by the art of floral design, and one of my dreams is to take classes in New York or Paris.

I approach my work with creativity, innovation, and a commitment to achieving outstanding outcomes. My professional philosophy is rooted in empathy and emotional intelligence, coupled with a steadfast dedication to every project I manage. I consistently maintain high standards of professionalism and enthusiasm, ensuring that each assignment accurately reflects my expertise and the value I contribute. My passion for wedding planning is driven by the goal of crafting unique and memorable experiences for clients, transforming aspirations into elegantly executed events. I am dedicated to delivering meticulous and personalized service, ensuring that every celebration becomes a lasting and cherished memory.

During my time living in Canada, I had the privilege of working at Stemz Flowers in Toronto. It was here that my passion for floristry truly began. Stemz is renowned for its expertise in floral arrangements and event decor, catering to high-profile clients such as the Four Seasons and the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO). This experience provided me with valuable exposure to luxury events and inspired my progression into the wedding industry.

Upon returning to Mexico, I pursued opportunities within the wedding and event sector, starting with an internship at Grand Fiesta Americana. My career subsequently evolved through positions in floral design and event rentals, ultimately leading to a role as a Wedding Planner with Momentos Weddings & Events. I then continued my professional growth in hospitality, serving as a Wedding Coordinator at both Grand Fiesta Americana and Grand Velas. In addition, I have worked as a freelance planner for various coordinators in Los Cabos.

I am certified by the South Asian Wedding Institute and possess considerable experience planning Indian weddings, which are distinguished by their rich traditions and vibrant celebrations.

Among my most cherished memories are father-daughter dances, especially when couples create unique moments to delight their guests. The culmination of the first dance with fireworks remains an unforgettable highlight, encapsulating the magic of a wedding celebration.

Currently, I am a proud member of the CBW team. I love working with CBW because it’s a strong, joyful, and supportive team. I truly believe that’s the foundation for creating incredible weddings. What I appreciate the most is that you can be yourself;  there’s no ego, and everyone has the chance to shine. We celebrate each other’s successes, and that makes all the difference.
