With our timeline check list you will know when to book and what to except for each mile stone along the planning process.

Nine to 12 Months Out

Stay on top of the planning process by maintaining a wedding binder and always keep touch with your personal wedding planner from Cabo Beach Weddings.

Start thinking of a guest list! Talk with family members about whom to invite. For destination weddings, you will have to manage the list and invite those who you really think will make the trip.

After some preliminary calls, and research establish a budget for the big day.

Lock up the location and date. Put down a deposit!!!

Grab your photographer!!! Secure them with a deposit. In Cabo we only have a handful of great photographers and we are a very popular destination wedding spot.

Six to Nine Months Out

Start building your wedding website, this is very helpful for your guests to know where, what, and when of everything

As details of the wedding begin to materialize, figure out a central theme -- casual, outdoorsy, formal, intimate, etc. Doing so will help you make more directed decisions about flowers, food, music, and more later.

Start to get ideas of where your guests will be staying.

Food: Get a caterer if needed and lock in a menu. Same goes for if you’re just selecting from the menu of a particular venue.

Music: If you are going to have a band or a DJ, get them scheduled and booked! This goes for cocktail music and ceremony music too!

Book your hair and makeup vendor!! Secure with deposit.

Send out "Save the Date!" cards your guests will need preparation

Check out local marriage requirements if you’re deciding to have a legal ceremony

What is there to do at this destination? If planning extra activities, make those arrangements, I have a list of activities I can send you if needed.

Pick wedding invitations and wording.

3 to 6 Months from the Big Day

If you’re having a rehearsal dinner book the location! Ask your wedding planner for ideas.

Make flight and room reservations for your wedding party and family members.

Finalize food, music (often playlists are compiled by couple) and photography plans.

Pick ceremony officiator and work with him or her to tailor and calibrate the ceremony.

See that paperwork for wedding is in order for a legal ceremony.

Start looking at flower options and décor options

Three Months and Ticking…

Mail invitations two to three months in advance!

Buy gifts for the people in your wedding party and for parents. OOT bags!

Finalize your décor options for centerpieces and ceremony.

Finalize your flower options with florist.

If necessary, work up a seating chart and a "who’s staying where" list.

Final head count must be in!!!

Release any unclaimed rooms you've blocked!!!

Figure out what happens on a daily schedule closer to the wedding day.

Confirm travel arrangements.

Book your transportation for your guests

On Arrival at the Destination

Meet with wedding planner and double check details.

Take care of setting bridal and groom grooming appointments. Haircuts, manicures, pedicures, dress and wedding clothes ironed.

Go over rehearsal dinner and the run through at the venue!

Get married!
